M-tone models are the basic platform on which to build your perfect guitar. Because every M-tone is unique, the possibilities are huge. Think of a model as, a shape, a size and certain specific build characteristics. It is the basic reference point for designing your guitar. The two models I am actively building right now are the Riptide and the Flight Risk.
The Riptide body is larger ( 14 1/2” wide and 3” deep) and is made from two carved, hollow shells that are completely rounded on the edges. Some Riptides shells are glued together like conventional hollow body guitars, and others have a sound channel between the two halves of the body.
The Flight Risk is 12 1/2” wide and 1 3/4” thick and usually has a solid body.
Both models can be configured in any way we dream up.
